A blood-donation camp was also organised during the event, with more than 50 people participating.
The development has added to interest around Ponseelan’s growing role within the party’s Thoothukudi activities. His public statements have also reflected a willingness to take positions on local political issues and question established political forces in the district.
Party sources have indicated that Ponseelan has the support and guidance of senior TVK leadership, including N. Anand.
